From October 13–16, 2026, DC Fintech Week 2026 will bring together leading voices from finance, technology, government, and regulatory institutions in the Washington, D.C. area to explore the future of financial innovation.
Under the banner “Where Finance Meets the Future,” this year's event will feature discussions on artificial intelligence, digital assets, blockchain infrastructure, stablecoins, tokenization, cross-border payments, and the evolving global regulatory landscape.
The event will kick off on October 13 at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C., followed by a full day of mainstage discussions on October 14 at Amazon HQ2 in Arlington, Virginia. Additional industry-focused sessions and networking events will continue through October 16.
This year's featured speakers include prominent leaders from global financial institutions, regulatory authorities, and the digital asset industry. Among them are Samara Cohen, Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Market Development at BlackRock; Brent McIntosh, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Citigroup; and Terry Duffy, Chief Executive Officer of CME Group.
The regulatory and fintech perspectives will be represented by Travis Hill, Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC); Kaitlin Asrow, Acting Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS); and Faryar Shirzad, Chief Policy Officer at Coinbase. Leading figures from the digital asset ecosystem, including Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, and Jeff Yan, CEO of Hyperliquid Labs, are also featured in the program. The Blockchain Association is participating as a Knowledge Partner. SEC officials have participated in previous editions of DC Fintech Week. While their participation in 2026 has not yet been officially announced, past appearances suggest the possibility of SEC representation again this year.
Together, these discussions will explore the opportunities and regulatory challenges emerging at the intersection of traditional finance, digital assets, technology, and law.
