On the afternoon of August 29, the "Mankun Afternoon Tea · AI Special Session" was held on the 24th floor of the Bingang Commercial Center.
Continuing the format of small-scale, in-depth exchange, this event invited AI entrepreneurs, technology researchers, industry practitioners and investors to the venue to discuss emerging issues in educational artificial intelligence, agents, AI entrepreneurship and the commercialization of technology.
After the event began, each participant first gave a brief self-introduction, sharing the project they are currently working on, the areas they have recently been following, and the questions they hoped to discuss and the connections they hoped to make at the event. Compared with listening to presentations one-way, this also allowed subsequent discussions to move more quickly into specific scenarios.
Starting from educational AI: observing what changes are taking place in agents
During the event,Li Keqian, Professor at the Institute of Intelligent Education, East China Normal University, shared his views on recent developments in educational artificial intelligence and agents. From educational large models and agents to personalized learning, AI is gradually moving from a single auxiliary tool into more specific teaching and learning processes. Further discussion at the event also addressed questions such as what problems educational AI can truly solve and how far technological capabilities still are from actual needs.
AI entrepreneurship ultimately has to return to real business
In the subsequent discussion, the topic extended further to AI entrepreneurship itself. Financing, customers, products and commercialization are issues almost every AI startup team will face. Whether the technology is sufficiently new does not necessarily directly determine whether a company can go further;whether it can identify real demand, form a stable product and continuously acquire customers is equally important.
Drawing on their respective project experiences, participants at the event exchanged considerable frontline experience on the commercialization, financing and market issues encountered in the course of AI entrepreneurship.
Zhao Xuan, Partner at Mankun Law Firmshared from a legal perspective“The AI Stories Told During Fundraising May All Become Evidence Years Later”。
As AI startups gradually move from concepts and fundraising narratives toward products and commercial implementation, the statements a company once made about its technical capabilities, data sources, product effects and business model may also be re-examined in future fundraising, cooperation, disputes and even determinations of liability.
The legal issues facing AI companies are also extending beyond traditional data, intellectual property and contract compliance into more specific scenarios such as descriptions of product capabilities, boundaries of liability and business decisions.
Small scale, continuing to discuss real problems
After the thematic sharing, the attendees continued focused exchanges on site around AI entrepreneurship, fundraising, customers, commercialization and legal risks, with ample time reserved for free discussion.

Mankun Afternoon Tea has always sought to maintain a simple approach: it does not pursue large scale, nor does it wish to end simply after the sharing is heard and the group photos are taken.
It hopes that each session can focus on a problem that is currently unfolding, and bring technology, business and law to the same table, so that participants can hear some different judgments and also meet some people who are truly doing the work.
Thank you to every friend who came to the event. We look forward to meeting again~
